General Description: Trade Brooches were one of the
most common ornaments on 18th
century Eastern Woodlands clothing.
These reproductions of 18th
century sterling silver brooches
once made by Montreal and
Philadelphia silversmiths, are
stamp cut silver plated imports that provide a low cost decorative broach
to use in the same way the original heavier sterling ones were. To mount
these brooches we suggest using heavy thread that matches the fabric color to
sew over the pin.
