General Description: Slotted fan handles give you more flexibility in arranging feathers in the fan set than drilled handles. Made of hardwood, usually Poplar, these have finished shaped and sanded edges ready to go. The styles we have are 7 inches long and 3 inches wide. Slots are 1 inch deep. Usually the feathers used need to have the quill ends cut off to match in the slotted arrangements, then glued into place. After the feathers are glued into place, crafters often fill the slot ends with wood filler.
